Today you get the release candidate for the next maintenance release 1.5.3. It features a fine selection of bug fixes, most noticeable JGR fixed a long standing desync issue with railtypes that was reported from various servers. Please help testing the release candidate, and report bugs to our bug tracker. Enjoy!

Today we want to raise your attention to an external project. Pikka - one of the long-standing artists around OpenTTD, who has released nummerous NewGRF - considers working full-time for 9 months on a graphics project for OpenTTD. To make this ... [More] possible he has started a kick starter to raise funds for his life expenses. We don't know whether you like the art-style, or whether new graphics to OpenTTD are worth your money, but we can at least tell you that it is a trustworthy project with decent conditions. We are approaching the first maintenance release of the 1.5 series. Multiple crash bugs have been fixed. Please help testing the release candidate, and report new or old bugs to our bug tracker. Have fun!

The mountains should now be glitch-free, so they are safe to conquer by train, road vehicle, aircraft, and even by ship!
