The last limited beta, AdaptCMS Beta 3, is now available in a limited release. The new version brought a lot to the table - the biggest work was fixing bugs, fixing browser issues, mobile testing, query optimization and themes received a large

upgrade. More refactoring was done, a AdaptCMS 2.x converter was made and overall a lot of little enhancements.
This release is limited again because there is more testing and we want our full release, 3.0, to be as tested as possible. Between today and the release of AdaptCMS 3.0 (a release date should be known by next month), we will be working on getting it production ready - adding caching, doing another round of query optimization/bug hunting/browser testing and a few features - likely a google maps plugin and some updates to the plugins to get them ready.
We'll be going through every feature and testing them again, as well as seeing if we can make things more clear or look better. We'll also be testing on shared hosting in addition and update all the third party libraries. Once more work is done and exact details on what needs to be done before release, we should then know of a release date.
Included are instructions on how to install this version. We just ask to report any issues (or suggestions) and that if you start to use this release for a public site - you can upgrade from this release to 3.0, but note that this release is not officially supported as production ready since caching hasn't been enabled.

With one more sprint through before work on 3.0 begins, I thought it would be good to post another blog - especially considering I haven't posted anything in a few weeks. Most of the work has been fixes, lots of bug fixes. There has also been testing on the new adaptcms.com/api websites.

In preparation for the big and long-coming release of AdaptCMS 3.0, a majority of recent work has been bug testing. We've cranked out a lot of bug fixes on the Templates and Users features especially. Although it was working, the forgot

password/reset password/activate password functionalities were redone as they were originally made to be as small amount of code as possible - as I know now, that isn't necessarily always good.
Work on a new plugin also started and concluded, check inside for the details as well as a scoop at a possible new project.

It's been a while since the last blog, since the last one AdaptCMS Beta 2 has released and work has started already on AdaptCMS Beta 3. While there will be some new features, largely it will be bug testing and browser testing.
Before Beta 3

releases, the new InsaneVisions website will launch. We have the content ported over, users (but you must reset your pw) and a new design. Right now we just need to setup the redirects for search engines and then we will be moving everything over to the new server (including adaptcms.com), this is a process so we are going about it carefully. I expect by the end of this month that everything will be moved over and the new site will be up, can't wait!
Read on to learn about some of the new and upcoming stuff for AdaptCMS Beta 3.

A little less than two months after the first public release of the new AdaptCMS 3.x line, Beta 2 is now available in a limited release. The new version brings the first base version of AdaptBB and many plugin additions altogether. (asset management
... [More]
, permissions, settings and more) Much of the work also was refactoring code - this lead to improvement in code overall and numerous bugs as well as fixing a few area where stability was a concern. A wordpress converter was also created, which could see the creation of similar conversion tools.
This release is limited again because there is still much left and our first full blown public release will be 3.0. Before now and then, there will be one more Beta - this will knock out any bugs we find, any browser compatibility issues and likely will involve some cooler things. (possibly a few more plugins, possible LESS integration)
Once Beta 3 is decently under way, we will likely then look at what all will be done with it and what will be done with 3.0 before release. Once the sites that will launch are done behind the scenes, we should have a good idea of a time period when it will release and will post here.
Included are instructions on how to install this version. We just ask to report any issues (or suggestions) and that if you start to use this release for a public site - you can upgrade, this started with the first beta - but we recommend waiting for 3.0 to fully release as we have not done a sweep for security issues/bugs.
