Feedback Forum : Site usability

I was trying to get used to the new layout of ohloh.net, but that seems to be realy hard. It is simply not logical enough :-( Old layout had obvious means to do 2 things: log in edit project ... [More] summary With the new layout I keep to look for the correct places to click time after time. Something has to be done, about that. [Less]

Ohloh General Discussion : losing Kudos by claiming contribution?

Thanks for the reply Robin. I had guessed it might be something like that but my (bad) assumption is that the kudos would be updated when the code calculation was updated. Now if only I had been a little more patient... :)

Technical Issue Help : How do I edit the aliiases table?

Ok, thanks. That makes sense. (I couldn't remember the first alias I claimed.) (not sure I'm going to bother to click on all that stuff. Not right now anyway.)

Suggestions for Ohloh 2.0 : Default Collate in DB

Hi, I am using OWA in my blog, it is great! But one thing I suffered is that the default collate for DB is latin, which cannot process my language, Chinese, correctly. I have to change it to utf8 by ... [More] myself. So here I have a suggestion for OWA, when creating the tables in DB, it is a favour to set the collate to utf8. I think it will work for nearly all the languages. [Less]

Technical Issue Help : Do Gravatars ever update?

I'm not sure what the current state of Gravatar is, but in the past it has been known to take little while for new Gravatars to appear. We don't cache the images locally -- they always come directly ... [More] from the Gravatar servers. If it doesn't appear after a day or so, one thing that I know has bitten a few people in the past is capitalization. Gravatar keys are case-sensitive, so make sure that the email address you gave to Ohloh is capitalized the same as the the one you gave to Gravatar. [Less]

Suggestions for Ohloh 2.0 : Search Projects by "mostly used" language

This isn't exactly what you want Ben, but it's close: http://www.ohloh.net/projects/search?q=java Basically go to the projects index page and search on the primary language you want. The ability to ... [More] filter projects in a more fine-grained manner (by language, os platform, purpose, etc) is a feature we'd like to add at some point. [Less]

Technical Issue Help : autocompletion problems

Hey, I'm using firefox 2.0.0.11 on Ubuntu gutsy. When I try to fill out any form field that has project autocompletion enabled (like searching for projects in the stackbuilder, or under Tools > ... [More] Compare Projects, I am unable to type projects correctly. For example, it will not allow me to type mysql, or firefox - they do not appear in the list. If I type 'firefox' I only get one option - 'firefox openwebfolder plugin'. If I type 'firefox ' - with one space nothing changes. If I type 'firefox ' - with two spaces, then suddenly I get a lot more results - including 'mozilla firefox' - what I originally wanted. If I try typing 'mozilla' I don't get firefox either until I type 'mozilla f'. If I type 'mysql' I get 10 options, non of which is actually just mysql. If I type it with one space, I get four options, non of which is just mysql. If I type it with two spaces I get back the first 10 options. This problem also happens with Perl. This is not as useful as I would like. [Less]
