I began as an open source developer helping on Perl5 development in 1994.

I have been actively contributing to the Apache Xerces C project since 2000, and have been the maintainer of the Apache Xerces Perl project since 2001. Because of this, I have been an infrequent contributor to the SWIG project.

I am the author of a few Perl modules on CPAN (Bio::Genex, Bio::MAGE, Class::ObjectTemplate).
