This program will do the job for most people when designing interiors or exteriors. The controls are intuitive, I was comfortable using the program within 15 minutes. There are useful features such as background image overlays, virtual visits, 3D exports and more. I find it enjoyable to just play around with this software. I left out one star because I found a few minor bugs and can see a potential for improvement in a few places. Other than that this is an awesome project, give it a try.

Amazing quality

I've been playing the newly released version 1.0 and am very satisfied. The art is professional quality, the controls intuitive, no long tutorials or dialogs, no bugs found so far. The game is simple in mechanics, but I personally consider it a strength, just a plain simple good old RPG action. I can see a place for improvement here and there (music, multiplayer support, ...), but still think 5 stars are deserved.

Excellent Space Simulator

This is an excellent software, great educational tool and a free alternative to Space Engine. The graphics are awesome, but some resources are missing in the pure free version (additional non-free resource package is available). There's not only the Solar System, but also other systems (look in the menus). Also included are small space bodies and spacecrafts (yes, you can watch the ISS fly around the Earth). The time can be manipulated (stopped/slowed down/sped up/reversed/synced with real time). Orbits, labels and info such as the temperature can be displayed. Things that should be improved to gain the extra rating star: installation/packages on some distros (had some problems), controls (a bit confusing and seem hardcoded), some missing textures/3D models among the free resources, some text errors in GUI.

Excellent alternative to Google Earth
4.0

From a few minutes of fiddling with this program I am very happy with it. It has an Earth, Moon and night sky to view, with Earth having a lot of textures (topographic, OpenStreetMap, old map, satellite, night, temperature, ...). There is a great amount of info, places, route planning, and a ton of plugins that add photos, Wikipedia articles, weather info, even satellites flying above the Earth. What I especially loved were different projections aside from the traditional globe view - really great for education. The only downside I found was the absence of high-definition satellite photos, but if you're fine with this, definitely give Marble a try.

As a player, I give can't praise the game enough. I'd never believe I could find a completely free software MMORPG (including the assets) like this. Aside from the game as such, the engine is excellent as well, high-quality graphics running smoothly even with other programs running, never crashes, no lag issues, simply a great job.

Video editing under Linux used to be pain. I was successfully using Blender but to me an editor "for normal people" was still missing - until I found this. Kdenlive is intuitive, similar to most other editors, yet also powerful - aside from the standard features - such as cutting, transitions, effects, sound tracks or text - there are advanced features - such as histograms, spectrograms or GUI themes. This really helps bring Linux and FOSS to more people.

This program is useful as well as fun to play around with. It lets you create procedural textures based on a graph description that can be saved into a small file. There are many basic but also advanced nodes available, such as lighting. 3D preview is also available.

Absolute Top Quality Game

One of the best I've played, not just among FOSS. It takes the best of Quake III and adds an amazing graphics and new ideas, while keeping the oldschool feel. I love the huge variety of game modes possible thanks to mutators, and inclusion of fun game types such as football! And this is still before the 1.0 release. We're in for something great.

The few times I've used this software my experience was pleasant. Everything worked as expected, but I especially appreciate the intuitive interface, thanks to which I've been able to jump right in. Very good work has been done on this tool. It tremendously speeds up game development.

I like where the project is going, e.g. the keyboard controls and the ability to export fractals as meshes. Amazing tool.
