I upgraded some of my plugins but I broke the site.  I now have the menu items I was missing installed in the header but but if I try to do just about anything--browse photos,  video,  upgrade plugins--I get an error message onscreen and sent to me.  I can include the error messages but there are soooo many. Suggestions? Thanks. Peter

I'm working through the Framework Wiki to try to understand all the features (http://www.openedit.org/oemanual/pages/index.html). But I keep on finding broken links. Is the Wiki still considered to be current? Would you like me to try to fix things like this? If so, how do I access the Wiki for editing?

I'm looking at the documentation for OpenEdit and my header bar does not look the same as the documentation here http://entermediasoftware.com/dam/docs/pages/ManagingAssets/index.html Perhaps I have a different version of OpenEdit and /or it is not installed properly?  Anyone encounter this? I'm trying to edit catagories. Thanks. Peter

Great app!! I'm trying to use the Account Manager but I seem to be having a problem with the STMP settings.  When I try to send a password to a new user nothing happens.  I get the PASSWORD HAS BEEN SENT OK message but no password is sent.  Resin ... [More] give me an error message that it could not connect to the local host, port 25, response: -1. Also I'm not clear if/how I need to set up IIS  to share my archive across the internet? The EM demo installs and seems to run correctly, except that none of the links from the OE-type dropdown menus will run; they just go straight to the ugly OE logon, and after entering admin/admin, just jumps to the home page. As a sanity check I ... [More] downloaded and installed the OE acme demo, and that runs correctly, including the OE toolbar links. So I don't think there's a problem with our server, or our install process. If anyone else has tried the EnterMedia 6.285 as a fresh install, what was your experience? [Less]

The open source alternative for DAM. Flexible and powerful, manage all of your digital files with EnterMedia Digital Asset Management. No vendor lock-in, free to download.   EnterMedia 6.285 September release highlights. - We have expanded ... [More] the available options for viewing results sets with the addition of two new views: Audio View: This view is designed for use with audio catalogs and includes an mp3 player for each result on the page. Download View: This view is primarily designed for use with albums/galleries but can be used for any result set. It allows users to select all/none/some of the results set by clicking checkboxes, and then download those assets in bulk. It also allows for downloading type and size converted versions of assets directly from the results page. - We have also added a new interface for adding/removing assets from albums. This can be accessed by the actions menu in the icon bar for each asset in a results set. This allows you to add or remove assets from albums without navigating away from the results page. - Users can now also add an entire page of results to an album through the Results menu. - On the back-end, we are changing from Prototype to jQuery and have begun changing all of our code to use this new library. - Previously we used both lightbox and thickbox for pop-up dialog areas. We are now using only Fancybox for displaying preview images and other screens that needed to be in their own pop-up windows. - Our logging system has been improved to log more types of events including multi-record edits. These improved log reports are now searchable from the Reports tab if you are using the "darktabs" layout in Themes. - The Themes concept has been expanded to allow custom themes to apply to areas outside of the EnterMedia webapp, and we have added more example themes based from old OpenEdit layouts. - We have improved and expanded CSS use for many of the pages in EnterMedia. This should make it easier for users designing custom themes to find and alter style properties for their site. - For those wishing to use a database back-end instead of XML, SQL support has been updated and reimplemented to work with the newest version of our code. - We found that we needed to include more testing as part of our EM500 certification of our releases, that has already begun and will be implemented in the October 15 release. Thanks to a few EnterMedia community users for helping us with this new and improved test.   Open source and Java Developers, Join the EnterMedia Community for FREE!   Open source EnterMedia software, is a 100% web-based, digital asset management system, used by Fortune 500 corporations and organizations.
