Again, this problem was caused only in the latest Joomla 3.3.x releases.To install K2 for the first time or update your existing K2 based website, just grab the latest package here: http://getk2.org/downloads/?f=K2_v2.6.9.zipThe process to update K2 is fairly simple. If you are on Joomla! 1.5, grab the zip file from the link above and install it on top of your existing K2 version. If you are on Joomla! 2.5 or 3.x, go to the Joomla! update manager, purge the update cache, re-check and you'll see the new release available to instantly update. If you are on Joomla! 1.6 or 1.7 then you've probably missed the news on Star Wars 7 (and Joomla 3.x). As you may have noticed, we have moved the community forum over to joomlaworks.net. This is part of the upcoming changes introduced with the release of K2 v3 (K2 Pro, professional support packages for both free and pro users and more), as we will be utilizing the subscription & ticketing system which we already use on joomlaworks.net.Additionally, a new responsive getk2.org is also currenly being worked on with an entirely new documentation section (co-maintained via GitHub) and an emphasis on third-party extensions with some new marketing options especially geared for commercial developers. Our aim is to allow both commercial developers to better promote their products as well as allow better "surfacing" of free extensions to every K2 user.
What next?
We're working hard to release K2 v3.0.0 stable on December 15th, 2014 for Joomla 3.3.x+ only.K2 v2.7.0 which will "freshen up" the 2.x design & frontend templates will come early January.Please be advised that Joomla version 2.5 is nearing its end of life and moving on in 2015, Joomla 3.x will be the only officially supported release from the Joomla core team.
