What about the "allowguests" option in the configuration menu? Doesn't it allow to post anonymous comments?

this works. but when i delete the media afterwards, the namespace won't appear anymore (like it is with wiki sites and namespaces). so a namespace must have any media inside. that's ok but for the first upload its better to show all the namespaces and not do that trick.

Hallo, was mache ich falsch? I'm looking at the 'A_Centred_Perspective' theme as being suitable for my needs, clean and tidy, no frills. But it has login and edit links and so on displayed at the top of the page near the search box. I want to hide these when logged out, or when ... [More] a public viewer is looking at the pages (this is a public wiki but only updateable by admins). Anyone know how to modify this to hide these links when logged out? I know it would mean remembering an URL for login!...but that's ok. But I want an absolutely clean 'read only' page view without spurious links to backlinks, logins, editing and so on. But I want the links to be there when logged in for editing purposes. Any help appreciated. [Less]

There is a plugin which supports collapsible code blocks but it doesn't support downloadable snippets: http://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:codedoc

Hi everybody, I'm new to DokuWiki, so perhaps one of the test-hiding plugins does make this possible, but I haven't found it yet. Since I want to start a private programming wiki, there will be quite a few code blocks in my entries, some of them ... [More] quite long. I know that it's possible to simply surround the code block with hide tags (or whatever the plugin's syntax is), but the other way around is, of course, impossible. What I want to do is to create code blocks like this: ... That way, the file would still be downloadable while I could hide/unhide the code in the wiki entry as I want to. Could anybody write a plugin to extend the syntax of code blocks in this way? Sincerely, Desh [Less]

Hi there. It seems the namespace that do not appear are namespaces with no media in them. media and pages are separate directories in dokuwiki. As far as I can remember, namespace with no media won't show because the media directory does not yet ... [More] exist. They show in the ACL because there are some pages, so the page directory exists. The default "wiki" namespace has the doku logo, so it always show. Now how can you upload media in a namespace that does not show ? Try this : run mediamanager make sure you are at the root namespace go to upload tab drop a file. but don't click upload change the name . prefix the name with your missing namespace:, eg "namespace:myimage.png" or "wiki:sx.e:myimage.png" upload the media. quit mediamanager open mediamanager you should see your namespace. /Schplurtz [Less]
