The new look biojava website is now available. Based on Wiki it allows for community maintenance of the site.
Contained within the site is the complete biojava documentation including the biojava in anger cookbook now wikified for easy updating.

A release plan for BioJava1.5 has been posted to the website for discussion. Your comments are welcome. We also need volunteers to help with testing etc before the final release can be made. If you think you can help with something on the list please post to the biojava dev list (or the main list).

Thanks to Jason and Chris from O|B|F we are testing a new Wiki based BioJava home page. The page can be reached at http://biojava.open-bio.org/wiki/Main_Page.
The page is an experiment in community development and is modifiable by anyone who wants to register.
The first task is to copy the contents of the old biojava pages into the new [...]

Highlights of this release include:
- Packed storage of sequence data in memory
- Better support for the OBDA database access standards
- Improvements to the parsers for output from tools like
blast and fasta.
- Many enhancements to the FeatureFilter system.
