Feedback Forum : Bad information is worse than no information

Hi Danny, I'm sorry to hear about your frustrations and look forward to figuring out what's going on. Could you be more specific regarding what metric is wrong? Here's some possibly relevant ... [More] feedback: Apache James: the 'svn log http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/james/server/trunk' reveals that the first checkin was in Feb 2007. Did you perhaps move repositories? You two months of 'Measured' coding experience are derived from tallying up the individual months where Ohloh observed at least 1 commit that contained code. In your case, we're seeing 1 commit in April and 2 commits in May of 2007. This might be related to problem #1. [Less]

Technical Issue Help : Kudos-score after acct association

Calculating the Ohloh ranks is somewhat intensive, so we currently update them once a day (usually during off-peak hours). I've now added this fact to our faq.

Technical Issue Help : Dup'ed Project and No Enlistment

Hi Oisin, Thanks for the notice. Looks like 3686 is better titled, so I kept that one and deleted 5647.

Ohloh General Discussion : Ohloh CVS activity seems to be going berserk

Thanks Martin, Your timeline is extremely helpful. We are still investigating what might have happened 4+ weeks ago that would cause SF to stop anon access. While 80k accesses seems a little high ... [More] , it's within the right range. This is because, by default, a CVS repository is not 'cloneable'. Therefore, the only way Ohloh can get the full history is to check out Moodle at version 1 and incrementally apply every commit, 1 by 1. Since Moodle shows ~28k commits, we'd have to make at least 28k CVS requests to apply each patch sequentially. I am not sure how you are counting 80k accesses - is it the number of tcp connections? Technical Issue Help : How to say "this is me" on the contributors page?

Ah - ok - I think I understand. An account can only claim 'contributions' - that is, a committer on a project. In your case, you seem to want to claim a different Ohloh account. This isn't possible. ... [More] Since the jrepenning accounts seems empty (ie: no kudos or claims), would you like me to simply delete it instead? [Less]

Feedback Forum : OCaml code mistaken for Objective C

hi Tobu, The good news is that I don't believe we're mistaking OCaml for Objective C. It looks like Unison does contain some Objective C (src/uimac/main.m, for example). The bad news is that we ... [More] don't recognize OCaml code at all yet. I'll investigate adding support for Ocaml. [Less]

Feedback Forum : SQL-files

hi Patrick, Good question - I'm curious too. We're currently working on a file inspection feature so this kind of question can be investigated more easily. Instead of digging into your problem right ... [More] now I will instead focus on shipping this feature first --- then pop back up and see where/why we're reporting your project in this way. Thanks for the heads up. [Less]
