Duplicate projects seem to take an extremely long time to be removed, for example the spam project https://www.ohloh.net/p/easyphcake was reported as a duplicate of git a long time ago, but still exists. Please can this be addressed? Thanks!
I would be interested in an answer as well.
For instance at Wikimedia we have several duplicate projects, they skew stats by millions lines of code and thousands commits... https://www.ohloh.net/orgs/wikimedia/projects
It may help if org managers were allowed to delete/redirect a project.
I also have a few projects that have been marked as duplicate for years. I never got a reply when contacting ohloh directly with the contact form, so that doesn't seem to help either.
Actually, just figured out you can delete it yourself if you're managing it:
Go to settings > Ohloh Edit History > go to first entry Created Project
and click Undo.
Ah, thank you Christoph! That only helps org managers, but at least some areas of the site will be cleaner. :)
Also of interest, in my case the duplicates were all created by the bot https://www.ohloh.net/accounts/ohloh_slave ; presumably a mass import of GitHub projects.
