Zwe is a content publication platform and (micro)blogging service. Originally a simple website and blog engine in PHP/MySQL, the new version of Zwe, Zwe3, is a complete overhaul of the project. Zwe3 is now based on XMPP, and uses Jabber IM and presence mechanisms to create a robust and ... [More] extremely flexible publication infrastructure. The project is still under heavy design and development. [Less]

KeelsBot

Compare

  Analyzed 1 day ago

KeelsBot is based on the code of SleekBot, it’s written in Python, using the SleekXMPP library. All features are implemented as plugins (in a similar fashion to SleekXMPP). Currently the only supported language is Czech. Most of the SleekBot’s plugins should also run under KeelsBot. Main ... [More] differences of KeelsBot: * Better access management to bot’s commands * Czech support [Less]

Swift is trying to plug a hole in the XMPP client landscape, and has these aims: Wide platform availability. Doing the "Right Thing" for the user, without configuration. Doing the "Right Thing" with standards-compliance. Targeting the end-users, not the system administrators. ... [More] Being an XMPP client - not multi-protocol. Concentrating on the most frequently performed tasks. Never interrupt the user with something that doesn't need attention. [Less]

idiokit

Compare

  No analysis available

idiokit is an experimental Python library for doing asynchronous stuff. It currently contains: An infrastructure for writing streams, Python generators that act as lightweight pseudo-threads that communicate through message passing. Tools for combining streams, by e.g. piping them together. ... [More] Incomplete implementations of asynchronous TCP connectivity and XMPP and IRC protocols. Apart from trying out new stuff, some of idiokit's goals are: Avoid dependencies outside Python's standard library. Currently the only dependency is Python 2.5 or higher (Python 3.x is not supported though). Relatively easy integration with most foreign event loops (such as PyQt4). There are some caveats, of course: Windows is currently not supported. Python's standard library has to be compiled with SSL support for the XMPP connectivity to work. idiokit liberally borrows (adopts, steals) ideas from great open source Python projects such as Twisted and PyXMPP. You'd probably be better off using them anyway. [Less]
