Glade Disk enables access to Amazon S3 similar to a disk drive. The way the files are stored is compatible to the commercial application Jungle Disk Current status The CVS repository contains the source code of jSh3ll, a project also hosted on java.net, with extensions to support read and write ... [More] access using the Jungle Disk file format and encryption algorithms. This was used as a proof of concept to check whether it is feasible to realize the project. Have a look at the corresponding announcement for a short tutorial on how to use this version. Future plans The next release will be the first one to use the name "Glade Disk". It will be installable using Java Web Start, and it will provide a GUI to access the files stored on Amazon S3 similar to graphical FTP client. For future versions, it is considered to include a local WebDAV server to enable the integration of directories on S3 into the local file system. This is the same technique that is used by the commercial Jungle Disk client, which is not written in Java. [Less]

GlimmerHMM is a new gene finder based on a Generalized Hidden Markov Model (GHMM). Although the gene finder conforms to the overall mathematical framework of a GHMM, additionally it incorporates splice site models adapted from the GeneSplicer program and a decision tree adapted from GlimmerM. It ... [More] also utilizes Interpolated Markov Models for the coding and noncoding models. [Less]
