flashrom is a utility for identifying, reading, writing, verifying and erasing flash chips. It's often used to flash BIOS/EFI/coreboot/firmware images.
openbiosprog is a fully Open Hardware and Free Software programmer for BIOS chips.
The first version will support Low Pin Count (LPC) chips, later versions might add support for parallel flash chips and SPI chips.

Self-contained NodeMCU flasher with GUI based on esptool.py and wxPython.
NodeMCU PyFlasher doesn't have to be installed, just double-click it and it'll start. Check the releases section for downloads for your platform. For every release there's at least a .exe file for Windows. Starting from 3.0 there's also a .dmg for macOS.
