Message from the owner(s) (August 20, 2008) This project has been reviewed and archived because it has seen no activity in the last 6 months. If you disagree with this assessment, please contact me at [email protected]. If the project has been abandoned and you are interested in taking ... [More] ownership, please contact the community manager at communitymanager.dev.java.net. Archived projects can be moved back to current status (and into their original communities) if activity resumes in the project. - Sonya Barry, java.net Staff Engineer March 6, 2005 Jatse is finally ready. Thanks for your patience. The source code is now available in the CVS area. There is a tar file and a zip file that contains source and binaries in the "Documents and Files" section to your left. See the latest version of the prototype below. I am now actively seeking people who would like to join this project. Please email me if this interests you. Let me know any ideas you have or what you would like to work on. Our first task is to plan what the first jatse release will look like. We need to develop a list of features that will make this a useful project. I have plenty of ideas of where this project will go. I would love input on what features are most interesting and get additional ideas on functionality and interface. There is a Wiki for anyone interested in developing Jatse. The first order of business is to come up with a list of project goals and features. I would love input from other developers who are interested in the project. Please see (and contribute to ) the Jatse Wiki. [Less]

Our mission is: To implement several existing captchas algorithms To develop other heuristics of text rendering that would be hard to recognize automatically. Weirdoglyph is a captcha (completely automated public Turing test to tell computers and humans apart) variant dealing with distorted text ... [More] rendering. Some theoretical background can be found on the site of Carnegie Mellon University Captcha project. For the first time, the goal is to implement a simple text renderer that can be useful to protect registration areas of web sites against automatic registrators. Take a look at JCaptcha project. Its developers moved seriously further. They have more decent open source solution. [Less]
