Ardour is a professional multitrack/multichannel audio recorder and DAW for Linux, using ALSA-supported audio interfaces. It supports up to 32 bit samples, 24+ channels at up to 96kHz, full MMC control, a non-destructive, non-linear editor, and LADSPA plugins.

Muton is a platform independent tool to gain better understanding of big musical collections. It helps you rename (copy, move) files by tags, find duplicates, also it allows to intersect own collection with your friend's collection, copy diff..., and more!

Barōk (barok, from baroque) is a media player daemon, it plays your music or video as a background process. It can be controlled by compatible (graphical or not) front-ends but doesn't constantly need one, thus saving resources.

... [More] compared to MPD (Music Player Daemon) but it supports audio, video and live streams, it uses Gstreamer for playback and d-bus for communications. It doesn't aim to support remote control over a network like MPD (so it is more secure), but instead, it can be controlled easily through SSH, telnet, or sockets, or related transports using console clients and d-bus.

OpenAL mixer aims to provide a multiplatform API built on top of OpenAL to get/set volume values (including support for capture devices) and list, select and mute input and output lines.

klystrack is a music editor created to be used in the klystron project. It is a simple tracker type music editor that has chiptune style sound synthesis (C64, NES, arpeggios etc.).
gtklick is a simple metronome with a GTK interface and native JACK support. It offers four different sounds, arbitrary meters and beat patterns, and a speed trainer. It's possible to save profiles and restore them later.
