Ohloh General Discussion : Contributor aliases don't always work

Thanks very much for the detailed bug report! Your guess to the cause of the redirect to the project page was exactly right. This is now fixed. Let me know if you find any more leaks!

Ohloh General Discussion : How is activity computed?

You can sometime see Decreasing year-over-year development activity in the project overall report. What does it mean? How is activity computed? For example is it the number of commits? If it is, the ... [More] case, I would suggest to use the number of files committed instead. For example some people commit one file at a time, and others do a lot at once, but activity wise we cannot say one has more activity than the other if they changed the exact same number of files. Thanks, Manu [Less]

Ohloh General Discussion : Ohloh CVS activity seems to be going berserk

Thanks Martin, Your timeline is extremely helpful. We are still investigating what might have happened 4+ weeks ago that would cause SF to stop anon access. While 80k accesses seems a little high ... [More] , it's within the right range. This is because, by default, a CVS repository is not 'cloneable'. Therefore, the only way Ohloh can get the full history is to check out Moodle at version 1 and incrementally apply every commit, 1 by 1. Since Moodle shows ~28k commits, we'd have to make at least 28k CVS requests to apply each patch sequentially. I am not sure how you are counting 80k accesses - is it the number of tcp connections?
