Project Summary

WWN Descriptions based on well known WWPN patterns: parsing WWPNs to create deterministic aliases or nicknames based on patterns.

Manufacturers create WWPNs for their devices within issued OUI space, but often have a pattern or system for so generating the parts outside the OUI. For example, a storage array may include serial number, blade, port information in the port's FA WWPN.

There are many logic breakdowns for this across the web; my intent was to mimic some descriptions and some observed results in a pure-java format for re-use.
