Project Summary

Retain your privacy while torrenting, even if your VPN connection is lost.

It works by (you) replacing the launcher execute command with VPN Killswitch, VPN Killswitch will then launch the torrent client, so it's able to bind to it, without modifying the client core. (The desktop launcher version) also prevents the torrent application from even being launched if the VPN is not on.

If the VPN connection drops, the killswitch will activate and immediately kill the VPN client; protecting your IP leakage from trolls and your ISP.

Tested on Debian / Ubuntu based desktops - will also work in Fedora / CentOS based distros and Linux-based servers (CLI is OS agnostic).
