Version 1.0.3 of SimpleID, a simple, personal OpenID provider written in PHP, has been released. Versions 1.0.x represent the final version of the current of the original series of SimpleID. Future versions of SimpleID will use an almost completely ... [More] rewritten codebase, which has now been merged into master. Apart from critical updates, no further versions based on the original codebase will be released. To download this version, go to the download page. Please note that while the software may work, it may also have gaping security holes and other nasty bugs. Use at your own risk. What’s new in SimpleID 1.0.3 The version mainly targets bug fixes. Fixes PHP errors in discovery code Installing and Upgrading If you are upgrading from an earlier version of SimpleID, please read: the general upgrade instructions on this web site; and UPGRADE.txt included in the distribution for upgrade instructions. Since the beginning, Sourceforge has been used as the SimpleID project’s main host, including its source repository. A mirror of this repository has been hosted at Github. Because there is better support for Github in many continuous integration ... [More] systems, as well as better support for pull requests, the primary source repository will be switching to Github. In practice, not much will change. Sourceforge will continue to host a mirror of the Github repository, as well as hosting release builds. [Less]

For many years, Trac has been used as the source code browser, issuer tracker and development documentation tool for the SimpleID project, with the latest being self-hosted at https://trac.simpleid.koinic.net/. Trac was chosen at the time due to its ... [More] closeness to the Subversion version control system, as well as the lack of a better solution. With the source code repository migrated to git and improvements to hosted issue tracking systems, it is now time to retire Trac in favour of Github. Existing developer documentation knowledge base articles and open issues have been migrated to the SimpleID Github project. SimpleID’s source code repository remains hosted at Sourceforge, although this is mirrored at Github. [Less]
