Project Summary
Sheepdog (sorry, couldn't think for a better name...) is aimed at semi automatic management of virtualised server environments. Primary goal is the management of multi-host XEN environments in one place. Simple functions like starting, stopping, migrating XEN VMs should be relatively easy to achieve. Later a simple high availability function will be added and even load balancing might be possible.
Sheepdog will have a modular design, that will make it easy to add functions and interfaces to other hypervisors like VMware or hyperV.
Sheepdog right now is no more than an idea! I hope to get some code up here soon.
