RStudio has everything an R user could want: syntax checking, integrated help files, package loading, graphics windows, text formatting, debugging, etc. Highly recommended!

R is AWESOME. However, it is not friendly to very low-tech people. R is more like a soldier rather than a master. You are the person who write script and R could execute your command. Therefore, those who do not have any knowledge about writing script would experience an extremely hard time at beginning.
