The early registration period for EuroPython 2007 ends on Friday June 8th: Register on or before that date to secure a discount on the registration fee! EuroPython 2007 will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania from Monday 9th July to Wednesday 11th July.

PyConUno, the Italian Python Conference to be held June 9-10, 2007 in Firenze Italy, has opened registration online. The early bird registration rates will end May 27, 2007.

Google, who already support Python in their web apps with their Python Client Library, has added coverage of Python to the examples and explanations in the Google Calendar Developers Guide. Instructional materials for their other REST-based APIs will be forthcoming.

Nigerian youngsters got their hands on the first of millions of 'XO' laptops, heavily based on Python under Linux. Part of the One Laptop per Child project, you can watch a screencast of the GUI and get involved in the Python side of the project.

The May/June 2007 issue of Computing in Science and Engineering, a joint publication of IEEE and the American Institute for Physics, is devoted to Python.
