pyStrich is a pure-Python library for generating 1D and 2D barcodes: Code 39, Code 128 (including GS1-128), EAN-13, ITF-14, Data Matrix (including GS1 Data Matrix), QR Code, PDF417 and Aztec Code. It generates/encodes only — it does not read/decode barcodes. SVG, EPS, DXF and terminal output require no dependencies at all; PNG requires only Pillow, via the pyStrich[png] extra. Unlike most Python packages with comparable symbology coverage, pyStrich needs no system libraries such as Ghostscript or libdmtx, so it installs anywhere Python runs, including containerised and restricted environments. pyStrich targets Python 3 and is fully typed and comprehensively tested.
