Project Summary

The grand vision is for a tool that can port open source projects from one hosting infrastructure to another.

Right now, it just converts from the JIRA bug tracker XML representation into the Google Code Hosting bug tracker, using the latter's Python API. See:

http://code.google.com/p/support/wiki/IssueTrackerAPIPython

http://googlecode.blogspot.com/2009/10/issue-tracker-data-api-for-project.html

We're trying to structure it in such a way that others can help turn it into a full-fledged project porting tool, if there is need for that (which there is, but it's also a lot of work).
