BattletechMUX is a server for a text-based realtime rendition of Battletech, the popular boardgame that was pioneered by FASA (now owned by WizKids). However, instead of using a table-top system like in the traditional boardgame, BattletechMUXs are persistent games which are enjoyed by people all over the world rather than gathered around a table.

Developers have lots of options in creating games. Some may be team oriented, others may focus on the individual. Some may emphasize sneaky, infiltration missions, others may be home to large-scale battles. BattletechMUX is varied and rich enough to provide different kinds of play styles, only limited by one's imagination.
