As you can see, I've changed the site template to something a little less green. I don't think it's too horrid considering that it's the first Joomla theme I've ever done, and I only spent a few hours on it. I'm sure you'll also notice the banner ... [More] near the top of the page. Don't fret much on that, as the single Google banner is as intrusive as advertising is ever going to get. It's not like we really need the revenue to keep the site alive, but a few cents a month is better than nothing. (Plus it'll be interesting to see if AdSense ever figures out what sort of site this is, and starts coming up with appropriate advertising.) [Less]

The roadmap entry (http://opengui.rightbracket.com/trac/milestone/0.9 (Iolite)) for the next release of OpenGUI (version 0.9 [Iolite]) has been finalized. Development on this line started a few days ago with an estimated release date of March 15th. ... [More] If you're looking for bleeding edge releases, feel free to get the source from the subversion repository (http://opengui.rightbracket.com/trac/wiki/SVN). Just keep in mind that builds will be fairly unstable until we get closer to the release date. [Less]

The final build of OpenGUI 0.8 [Kunzite] has been released! If you've been waiting for the final 0.8 build, this is it! Since 0.7.7, so much has changed that it's barely recognizable. Read the rest of the post for some highlights of the changes. ... [More] When you're done, be sure to download either the SDK (http://downloads.sourceforge.net/opengui/OpenGUI_SDK_0.8.exe) or the Zipped Source (http://downloads.sourceforge.net/opengui/OpenGUI_src_0.8.zip) and try it out for yourself! First off, Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you all had a fun and safe holiday. As the title shows, the final build of OpenGUI 0.8 is being delayed. I've recently discovered some bugs with the handling of cursor input, and rather than simply ... [More] patch the holes and shove Kunzite out the door, I'm taking the extra initiative to examine the situation very carefully and implement a proper solution. OpenGUI has been receiving a lot of interest lately, so I want to be sure that something as critical as input processing is extremely stable and well implemented before releasing the final 0.8 build. I don't expect the issue to take very long to resolve, but I felt it was necessary to post a notice for the delay. [Less]

OpenGUI 0.8 Release Candidate 3 (Kunzite) is now available for download. This update contains a fix for a delayed crash bug when using ScreenManager::destroyScreen(), as well as an artifact fix for the Ogre renderer when using D3D9. No new features ... [More] , and I don't anticipate any further new features at all for the 0.8 series. There are a few upcoming changes on the horizon, but nothing that is going to make Kunzite. Unless someone finds a glaring bug, it looks like RC3 is likely going to be the final build on Jan 1st. BTW: Happy Holidays and all that. :-) [Less]
