 The v2.0 is downloadable here. It has been a long time since a new version was 'officially' released. We have actually proceed with our traditionnal tempo (a new version every three weeks) for our new users (AIRDIE in France in particular), but we ... [More] only decided to release a new version once it was totally stable and translated. Here is a small list of changes we brought (among others):  a new process for creating a loan, with the introduction of the notions of 'project' and 'credit comitee'a finer management of the funding lines in liabilities: automated check of cash available, etc.a new type of client: 'corporate' that can be used for associations, coopératives or companies that get a loannew reports and updates of reportsnumerous new fields in the person and group windows we get rid-off of the 'rounding issue': you can now manage your loans with any currency, that may use cents or not.and much more...We are therefore updating the user guide; and are planning to put it on a wiki in this website.. to come soon!       [Less]

 Welcome to AMLOK, a young and dynamic MFI, that just checked in the Octopus flight OMFS-714 Dushanbe-Paris. Today, Shodmon and us met Muso and Yusuf for the second time at their premises in the outskirts of Dushanbe. They started their activities ... [More] three months ago and were using excel spreadsheet as loan tracking system. AMLOK has ambitious targets and already feels the limitations of their existing solution. Muso and Yusuf demonstrated a deep enthusiasm in giving a try to Octopus and they are convinced that it will facilitate and bolster their growth. We are pleased to announce the start-up of Octopus ONline !Octopus is now available as a ‘Software as a Service’ at www.octopusnetwork.org/online.  ‘Octopus ONline’ allows MFIs staff to launch the software and access their data from any computer ... [More] with an internet connection. It offers the same level of usability and a higher degree of security as the database maintenance is carried out by OCTO Technology. After the installation of the required components, a step-by-step configuration wizard help the administrator to create an account and parameterize the software in a few clicks.The creation of an account and the use of the services are free for institutions up to a certain threshold of activity (read the Terms of Use on the website for further information).A dedicated section has been created in the forum, where you can ask questions if you face difficulities to install or configure Octopus ONline. {swf width="640" height="364"}Octopus online{/swf} The ‘standalone’ version of Octopus is of course still available and continuously improved (you can still install the database on your server, notably if your internet connection is not fast enough).
