New Review |
When I found Org-mode after having tried dozens of task/todo management software, it seemed too simplistic and spartan at first. After overcoming the initial resistance to its deceptively simple appearance and Emacs' apparently complex key strokes; now I use it for:
1. capturing ideas
2. planning projects
3. scheduling tasks
4. reminding appointments
5. tracking time spent on tasks
6. preparing weekly timesheets
7. doing weekly reviews
8. recording bookmarks
9. linking to web, files and emails
10. authoring documents with exports to HTML and PDF (using LaTeX)
I just can not be but marveled at the simplicity and depth of features, simple design, knowledgeable community around it and the openness of it's lead author to ideas.
Heartily recommended!
