Project Summary

ONOS (Open Networking Operating System) is a distributed network OS that is built to enable the transition of Service Provider networks to true SDN. The ONOS architecture is designed to support the High Availability, Performance, and Scalability needed by Service Provider networks. In addition, it provides innovative Northbound and Southbound abstractions to make network programming easier. Currently, it is under active development. ONOS was opened to the community for development in December of 2014.
