Project Summary

OmniBib is a tool for sharing bibliographic information, e.g. for use with LaTeX/BibTeX. The idea is to build a peer-to-peer network where each user makes his own bibliographic database available to others, and as a consequence gains access to others' databases. Among other pieces of software, OmniBib provides a frontend (the `omnibib' program) which can be used either to search the global database or as a direct replacement to the `bibtex' program, in order to process the references of a LaTeX document.
