I have been working with other LMS like Moodle or WebCT but what I really like about OLAT is (besides all the features it has) the nice and "consistent" looking GUI. In Moodle the courses look cluttered, in OLAT on the other hand you can create nice-looking courses using your own navigation tree etc.
We use this system in South Russia State Technical University in Tempus project and we are glad that we made a choice for OLAT: this system is a very professional, scalable, customizable internationalized e-learning solution. I work as a sysadmin and involved in the support of the platform based on OLAT. I did installation by myself with some problems but now when we have 7.0 and he war-file this will be easier.
