Keep Mac Awake keeps a MacBook with Apple silicon awake with the lid closed, with no external display, keyboard or mouse, for a session you start from the menu bar or the keepmacawake command: no limit, 1 hour, 8 hours or a custom number of hours. A separate watchdog restores the normal sleep setting if a background service stops or hangs.
This repository holds the public core: the system services and installer scripts (source-available under PolyForm Shield 1.0.0, not open source in the OSI sense), and the AI agent plugin and MCP server for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Copilot CLI (MIT License). The menu bar app itself is a paid app with a free trial.
macOS 26 or later.
