Project Joey's aim is to produce a class-library which eases the adoption of Java in the Australian context. You can think of Joey as 'localization on steroids'.
As the first concrete objective of Joey, we'll be producing a rapid-addressing component that uses postcodelocality data supplied by our main postal service, and conforms to local addressing requirements.
Possible future features include validation/formatting of Australian telephone numbers, code to integrate with Australian payment gateways, represent PAYG tax tables, etc.
