JNRPE 2.0.3 exited the status of release cadidate! The new version address many bugs and add some interesting feature. One of the most valuables are the core and the plugins OSGI bundle, that allow you to deploy JNRPE inside an OSGI container. New plugins has been added to the jnrpe-plugin package.

It provides a command line tool equivalent to check_nrpe and an embeddable library you can use to talk to NRPE or JNRPE. both jnrpe-lib and jcheck_nrpe has been published into the maven central repository Plugins can now raise events. That is useful when embedding JNRPE since plugins are executed asynchronously. Installation Both Linux and windows are now supported Both 32 bit and 64 bit are supported Both Windows Services and Linux Daemon can be automatically created by the installer The server New plugins are available (CHECK_MYSQL, CHECK_PGSQL, CHECK_USERS, etc.) The build system has been migrated from ANT to MAVEN You can now choose to configure JNRPE using the old syle XML file (as in 1.x) or the new and easier INI file.
