Project Summary

Jmx4Perl provides an alternative new way of accessing JMX (Java Management Extensions) on Java JEE Servers. It is an agent-based approach where a small Java Web application deployed on the application server provides HTTP/JSON-based access to JMX MBeans registered within the application server.

A set of Perl modules allows transparent access to the exposed JMX information. jmx4perl includes a Nagios Plugin with a rich feature set. Most of all, it is fast and does not require a local Java installation as similar JMX Nagios Plugins. It has been tested on a wide variety of application servers.
