Few things about your PC are as boring as things that just work, invisible in the background. Interrupt balancing is one of those things, and even though it falls in this boring category, the Linux application that is in charge of this functionality was long overdue in getting a major overhaul. Intel rose to this task, and the resulting source code can be found here.
