Project Summary
Gearmand provides a generic application framework to farm out work to other machines or processes that are better suited to do the work. It allows you to do work in parallel, to load balance processing, and to call functions between languages. It includes the both a client/worker library, as well as the server. The server acts as a bridge between workers (clients who can do work) and callers (clients who want work done). Multiple servers can be used for both load balancing and high availability.
