O EJBeer é um Java User Group (JUG) criado em Abril de 2004 com o intuito de difundir a tecnologia Java na região do Vale do Paraíba.

O que motivou a criação deste JUG foram os colegas que estão iniciando e aperfeiçoando seus conhecimentos, a escassez de palestras e eventos na região e a dificuldade de participar de eventos, realizados principalmente em São Paulo.
Então se não podemos ir sempre até a montanha vamos trazê-la até nós, e contribuir para que seja uma comunidade ativa, onde todos nós ganhamos, ensinando ou aprendendo Java e compartilhando os desafios desta exigente carreira.
