Bedework is an open-source, enterprise calendar system designed to conform to current calendaring standards. Built in Java, Bedework has a centralized server architecture allowing immediate update of public and personal information. Bedework emphasizes interoperability between calendar systems and clients. Available in a simple-to-run "quickstart" release, the Bedework Calendar comes with a CalDAV server, public web calendar "suites", a personal web client, and an administrative web interface for entering public events.
