Project Summary

Aria2Web is a utility for the web-based control of a download manager called Aria2 (aria2 can download a file from multiple sources/protocols and tries to utilize your maximum download bandwidth. It supports downloading a file from HTTP(S)/FTP and BitTorrent at the same time, while the data downloaded from HTTP(S)/FTP is uploaded to the BitTorrent swarm. Using Metalink's chunk checksums, aria2 automatically validates chunks of data while downloading a file like BitTorrent.)

While Aria2 is designed to be operated from the command line, newer versions now feature an XML-RPC interface that opens the power of Aria2 to other applications. Aria2Web uses this XML-RPC interface to communicate with a running instance of aria2c (or it can even fire up an instance of aria2c when run in "local" mode
