The ArgoUML welcomes all new developers. The easiest step is to join the developer mailinglist. You can also apply for a role within the project. There are a couple of roles to choose from: Observer Developer Project Owner ... [More] When new to ArgoUML, please choose the Observer role and give your real name and a meaningful login name when registering. Requests for roles with real names like "Donald Duck" or "xdfjafa" will be rejected. Unfortunately we do not have any means of contacting you, unless you are registered, so please obey to these simple rules, in order to receive a role in the project. We also like it when you give a small introduction about yourself when joining. All developers will be glad to help, so do not hesitate to ask when you do not understand something even if you think it might be stupid. Looking forward to seeing you. [Less]

The developer community is currently working with high pressure to release ARgo/UML 0.9.6, an interim release to the pending stable 0.10 release. ArgoUML 0.9.6 will mostly include improved UML Notation support ability to define plugins ... [More] better zooming importing of 0.7 and 0.8.x projects many bug fixes and more... If you are interested in more of the details, have a look at the Project Status page. Argo/UML 0.9.6 is scheduled for release in December. [Less]

Gentleware will present ArgoUML and its branded version Poseidon for UML Community Edition at the JavaOne conference. You can find Gentleware on the Sun stand at the Forte for Java booth.

Some of the main contributors to ArgoUML have founded the company Gentleware and now announce Poseidon for UML. Poseidon for UML extends ArgoUML to fullfil the needs of commercial users. It includes undo/redo copy/cut/paste drag-and-drop ... [More] plugin to Netbeans and Forte for Java from Sun Poseidon for UML Community Edition will be jointly presented by Gentleware and Sun Microsystems at the JavaOne conference on the Forte for Java stand starting on June 4th, 2001.
