Project Summary

Small, highly extensible CMS system based on JavaScript and Rest. Thick client, thin server.

The main goal of this open source project is to provide CMS system that does not need special templates. Templates are coded in HTML as classic static webpages, but the content can be dynamically changed thanks to the java script components of RestCMS system that are bound with the HTML elements in short javascript declaration.

The server implements the REST interface only, so it has much less to do when the users are rendering their websites in comparison to "classic" approach - the server does not have to render the whole page, just picks the data and sends it to the client. Clients then render the content according to the HTML template.
