I’ve been working with OpenOLAT and it’s predecessor for quite a while now, and what I really like is the relative freedom one has regarding customization.
With it’s language adaption, customization of content, course and overall layout, OpenOLAT can accomodate various requirements concerning content, appearance and layout. OpenOLAT can be perfectly adapted to any Corporate Identity to make you feel right at home.
Together with it’s didactic freedom and capabilities, wide variety of course features, scalability and integration capabilities, OpenOLAT is my LMS of choice.
OpenOLAT is a mature LMS that is written in Java. We use it as the base e-learning product for all our clients and they are very satisfied with the system overall.
It is a very comprehensive e-learning solution that offers tools for content authoring and publishing, access control, assessment and tasks, collaboration and sharing and much more. The feature set is astonishing!
OpenOLAT is 100% open source under the Apache 2.0 license, the development process is open and you can become an active community member if you want to.
Check it out, it's really worth a try!
