I've begun using the Octopi gem in my TicGit-ng program to interface with Github Issues, and prefer it over one of the alternatives that I have also tried which is called Octokit. I've had to file bugs with both projects and Octopi not only acknowledged the bug faster but had it resolved within 15 minutes IIRC. Contrast to Octokit who I'm only hearing from now, several months later.
More importantly, the Octopi project has more extensive and detailed documentation, whereas the Octokit project not only lacks documentation, but also contains inaccurate and misleading documentation.
I will be using Octopi for any future Ruby Github interactions. :)
