Project Summary
The aim of the project is to provide a free library that provides implementations for several kinds of image features and also several interesting point/region detectors.
We thereby do not want to focus on certain features but want to start with the most common features/detectors and extend to more unusual descriptors and detectors. At the beginning stage we will not optimize the code for extreme efficiency but focus more on diversity. Of cource, efficiency should not be forgotten completely - but we do not (yet!) spend too much time in profiling and tuning. Nevertheless developers and users are encouraged to raise according issues in the issue tracker!
