First of all, I want to say a big Thank You to all of the devs, testers, managers and misc involved in this project. I would love to know how to code so I could help out in this worthwhile endeavor.

I have been using OpenLP.org for over 2 years to display song lyrics, scripture quotes, videos and presentations at my Church in Westchester NY. It has made a tremendous positive impact on our services. The singing has increased tenfold as even those with poor eyesight can clearly see the onscreen lyrics.

I use various videos to help prepare the congregation to be ready to worship, to let them know when breaks are coming to an end and because of the nature of the software, I can use one laptop to present all this and record the sermon and play incidental music when needed.

The GUI is very easy to use and I love how it can be easily resized. Moving the OOS around is easy as is searching for songs using the search engine.

There are improvements that I am looking forward to seeing such as looping videos, motion backgrounds, more control over text layout and format and the ability to autorun the OOS when needed. I know that these are in the works so I am looking forward to seeing them.

I am very grateful that you all see the worthiness of using your talents to serve God. I run a website at www.chemicalrecovery.org for drug and alcohol recovery and I know that it can be at times a thankless job.

Using OpenLP.org for our worship has aided greatly in making the service more Spirit focussed and fulfilling for all involved. Please keep up the good work.
