I'm Andrew John Hughes, a software engineer at Red Hat working in the OpenJDK team. I completed my PhD thesis at the University of Sheffield in 2009. I started using GNU/Linux in 1998. My central focus over the last four years has been Free Java and the GNU Classpath project, along with associated upstreams, such as GCJ, the Mauve test suite, Kaffe, JamVM, Cacao and Jikes RVM. Since 2007, I've become involved with the OpenJDK community, mainly through IcedTea.
