How to resolve "no recognizable source code for Open Hub to analyze" status?

Closed

Hi all!

I've been a happy user of OpenHub for years but this is my first time posting to the forums. I have quite a few Python projects up on OpenHub and all of those work fine, for example:

However the most recent project I added (on September 26, so a couple of weeks ago) is not working:

The project page shows the following message:

Code analysis has not completed

Open Hub computes statistics on FOSS projects by examining source code and commit history in source code management systems. This project has code locations but that location contains no recognizable source code for Open Hub to analyze.

The Open Hub computes statistics on FOSS projects by examining source code and commit history in source code management systems. The source code for this project has been located, but the analysis isn't complete. Feel free to check its progress.

However it has been showing this message for weeks now and I can't find any notable differences between this project versus my other projects. The structure of the git repository (on GitHub) is similar to my other projects and it doesn't look like I made a mistake in the code location on the enlistments page when I compare e.g. the following two pages:

I did find the following forum post:

On that page the following advice is given:

Reading some of the previous posts I notice you are asking how to stimulate an update. You can also force an update by going to the Ohloh Edit History page through the settings page and undo and then redo any enlistment. It may take some time to get the update to start but it should finish within 24 hours or so.

I tried undoing and redoing the enlistment but it doesn't change anything. In fact when I try to manually simulate this by removing the code location and then adding it back the Update Status jumps back to its previous value Open Hub update completed 19 days ago, so it seems like nothing happens.

Can anyone shed light on what is wrong here?
