I've updated the code location for my project several times, but it is still is showing the old code from the old code location. Do I need to delete the project and re-add it since the code has changed?
Project: https://www.openhub.net/p/eduTrac-SIS
Hi Joshua, I'm going to go ahead and schedule a brand new analysis for your project. I noticed that under your project's enlistment page (https://www.openhub.net/p/eduTrac-SIS/enlistments) the url is a gitspace url. Open Hub typically supports Subversion, Bazaar, and Github repositories with their corresponding urls. However, if the new analysis job doesn't fix the problem I'll see what else I can do. I noticed that an analysis worked previously on the project in general so there should be no reason why it wouldn't update this time around unless you've recently changed the url to the gitspace url. Anyways, I'll check back once the analysis finished and go from there.
Thanks for the response. The code location was changed to Gitspace months ago. Nevertheless, the code is on Github as well. So, if I need to change it to Github, I can.
I don't think this will be necessary. It looks as if the eduTrac project completed and updated without a hitch. Let me know if you experience any more problems.
It states that it updated, but the code has not changed or updated. The code at the moment is at 4.1.x, but all the code was rewritten in release 5.x and the current release is now at 6.1.x. So, that is why I am wondering if the project needs to be deleted and re-created since the code changed and the code location changed.
So I see that the enlistment url for eduTrac is https://github.com/lexqt/edutrac which according to the url has commits that are from 2012. Also, it seems to me that Open Hub is displaying stats that mirror this particular enlistment from 2012.
So I can get a better understanding, how many enlistment url's are under the edutrac project? For example, do you have three seperate urls, one for 4.1.x, 5.1.x, and 6.1.x or do you have one url (6.1.x) that has all the previous versions?
No, I have only one url which is now at release 6.1.x. The github project you are referring to is different. Here is the link to the correct github project: https://github.com/parkerj/eduTrac-SIS
You're right I was referring to the wrong project that time. Sorry if this is frustrating, but I still am having a little bit of trouble understanding the url issue. Your current enlistment on eduTrac-SIS has the gitspace url (http://gitspace.us/eug/eduTrac-SIS.git). Under this link and in the tag sections, you have tags that are as recent as 6.1.03 down to 5.0 which total to 24 with 235 commits. These releases are also identical to the github link you've provided as well (https://github.com/parkerj/eduTrac-SIS). The github link likewise has 24 releases and 235 commits. Under both of these links, I don't see a version 4 mentioned. Perhaps I'm not looking at the right spot.
Under the Activity section for your project, I see that there are 229 commits, 6 below your current release. This makes sense because the code was analyzed a day go most likely right before your most recent commits on September 2nd. Does the information on OpenHub not mirror this repository and its information on gitspace and github?
In any case if it is not then, you can remove the gitspace url on the enlistments page and add the url https://github.com/parkerj/eduTrac-SIS. I can run an analysis for that code and then that without a doubt will reflect the most recent commits on eduTrac-SIS. Let me know what you think.
I am grateful for your time, and I am not frustrated or find the situation frustrating at all. But now I realize that we may not be looking at the same thing, so sorry for not being more specific earlier. This is the link I am looking at: http://code.openhub.net/project?pid=&ipid=534822&fp=534822&mp&projSelected=true&filterChecked
At the above link it shows the old code location and the old code. If you look at the index.php file, you will see that the release is at 4.1.x. I know that things have changed since my last visit so I maybe looking at a page that is now obsolete and if so I apologize for wasting your time. By pasting the link above, hopefully this will better clarify what I am seeing and what I am referring to.
Ok, now we are on the same page. Unfortunately, for this particular instance there is nothing I can do for the code.openhub.net site. Although the site is still up and running, the architecture has not been updated in over a year. There a number of reasons for this. One reason is because we have no more developers to maintain this site. Second, we have extracted this code base as a separate service which we intend to reincarnate into a common backend architecture with Open Hub. Third, we originally had seldom traffic directed to the site. Finally, we have no more resources to support maintenance.
This does bring up the issue of users like yourself who still go to this website. I believe that a new blog post should be posted to blog.openhub.net informing our users of the discontinuation of the service and will bring it up accordingly. Sorry I couldn't help with the code.openhub.net but if there's anything else I can do on the Open Hub website. Let me know.
Sincerely,
Daniel Rubio
Whew, ok at least I can stop pulling my hair out now that I know. Thank you again for your help and time.
